Ubumi Prisons Initiative works from a rights based approach to support the most
vulnerable in Zambian correctional facilities We work holistically with health and
well-being under the very real restrictions imprisonment imposes. Our projects are
mostly targeted at circumstantial children, who are with their mothers in prison,
pregnant women, mothers, juveniles, individuals with mental challenges, the
psychologically vulnerable as well as seriously ill patients. Our work contributes
to improved health and reduced mortality.

Circus Zambia is Zambia’s first circus and a social enterprise. We work with youth
and adults from marginalized communities using circus and other creative tools
as means to ignite change. Our three pillar programs are called Body, Mind and
Soul and focus on physical development, education and social issues affecting
marginalized communities. Through these interventions we support people in
reaching their full potential and become change makers in their communities.
